Last month a new company is born.
Together with Philippe Legrain we started redstorm a Ruby on Rails specialized competence center.

There are already 5 craftsmen on board:
2 RoR experienced dev (Blake and Dammika)
1 RoR senior PM (Maxime)
Philippe and myself

We are all commited to align our behavior to the agile development scrum method.

Since 2 weeks Growth Bridge is a reality.


Its mission:
Growth Bridge is a company created by 3 Web passionate men wishing to provide people with e-Commerce Stores that just work.

A new baby is born on the web.

Its name: Naturesca
Its version: early alpha > but we leave it open to the world.
Its parents: Philippe Legrain (Redstorm) & David Hachez (me  – The After)


Naturesca is a place where consumers and farmers can connect.
It is micro-local since it has the ambition to shorten the circuit of the food in order to avoid the grey energy spent by the retail mainly due to transports and packaging that is causing severe damage to our mother earth.
Naturesca’s ambition is also to promote locally produced food and local producers. Therfore you can go and pick up your shopping basket @ the farm around your village;
Naturesca is about food that is respecting the environment in the way it is grown and produced. It is not exclusively “organic labeled” food (since we think you do not need a label to be respectful towards the environment; you just need to respect it in your actions).
@ Naturesca we believe that we have everything we need to feed ourselves not so far from our homes.

As a Ruby on Rails enthusiast I decided to start building a Group on Linkedin.

The name of the group: Ruby sur Ongle

Objective of the group: 
This group aims at gathering all Ruby on Rails enthusiasts active in Belgium. It also has the ambition to start creating a network of RoR professionals, to promote the technology and to facilitate the meeting of developers and consultants to meet the market demand.

One of the first real business idea of The After is in its early phase of development.
The After is currently developing – in partnership with Management & Business Support – the prototype of an application called Naturesca.

What is Naturesca in a few words?
It is an online shopping experience that has the ambition to bring the farmers (or small producers of goods) and the end consumers together.

The After just finished the first phase of the building of Marc Van Rymenant’s new blog called Simplifying Interfaces.
Marc is the CEO of the leading company in Europe in the field of behavioral sciences applied to interfaces (also known as Ergonomics).
